link2468013579
This can be a feature to help new players and make it safer and easier to go to the caves. The idea is that we make it to prevent players from dying when too close.
NNOUS
it will help if someone decide to base at cave entrance as well
bloopah
Are Batilisks really that big of a problem? They don't hit hard and can easily be outrun and therefore ignored. As for basing near the Cave Entrance, why?? Unless it's at Pig King why should you bother?
ShadowbirdRH
Batalisks are some of the game's most annoying enemies, nothing says 'fun!' like being stuck waiting for your enemy to make a move, but encountering problems and using the many tools the game has to offer to create solutions is IMO at least, a big part of what makes DS/T so great. I don't think a trap door is necessary, there are already plenty of other ways to thwart batalisks.
lenship2
it seems like this would be more of a convenience item to out rule the viability of using bunnymen to spawn camp bats. maybe for something like 2 boards and 2 cut stone you could nullify the bats until you need to go back into the caves, where they might spill out 5 or 6 at once (they got all riled being trapped in those creepy, cold caves). maybe there could also be some sort of net for frogs/mosquito ponds since those can be just as, if not more, annoying?
