Does Dreadstone Helm Regenerate When Equipped On Mobs?

This might be a dumb question, but I'm wondering if the Dreadstone Helm will regenerate itself if equipped on  Bunnymen, Spiders, Pigmen, etc. 
Anyone have experience with equipping Dreadstone Helm on Mobs?

I'm going to see if I can test it myself, but I figured I'd ask, in case someone has already tried it.

No they won't.

If the mob equipped with dreadstone armour set doesn't have a sanity component then they won't regenerate.

Only the player has the sanity component, everything else doesn't.

Yeah like above poster said, no sanity bar, no regeneration. This also includes the player

if the player is under the effects of enlightenment, the armor also wont regenerate as the player technically has no sanity bar for the armor to draw power from

Aw man, I thought I had a eureka moment that would lead to interesting new gameplay strategies. Back to the drawing board.
