sunny91 Posted May 13, 2023 Share Posted May 13, 2023 I have noticed all Australian servers (Klei Official) are empty most of the time, while Singapore Servers are almost occupied always. Could you guys look into it, and if I am right about it wasting resources, kindly relocate server resources to other regions if they are intangible. It would be unfair for one region to have more resources, so it is better for them when all servers have the same hardware limitations, as they would get even more complaints. There's a reason they stopped hosting endless servers, so I don't even think resources are getting "wasted", just allocated to other servers, and they don't need to spend more money when they don't get anything out of it. They are my priority, hence I asked. So what if they can stop hosting, doesn't mean I can't have improvement while they are working. Stats analysis is a positive feedback, no practical reason to be fair to all region, regions don't have feelings if there is no population using the servers. Have you ever bought any appliance or any item with warranty? The company doesn't get anything out of spending more on warranty programs, after purchase customer support, etc. etc. Its called quality of life investment, many investment may seem like unyielding to kids but trust the grown ups they are. Resources should be allocated based on usage, otherwise you are wasting them. I am just saying that they are not priority for Klei and there are many threads happening around them that usually aren't positive. You can't really compare server hosting to warranty and expect Klei to host servers available to you with low ping with a lot of resources, they get nothing out of doing this and it is a net negative for them.At first I thought that Klei hosted servers to support their brand with positive publicity but that goes down the drain once you see how many people complain about them, they would be better off not hosting their own servers.
