Maybe something that can use moon rocks or marble instead of rocks that has better durability, or even just takes less swings to break something with. Maybe just having a gold tier would be enough, but I like the idea of giving more uses to marble. The hammer near structures is more dangerous than a turf-raiser helm near a garden or a shovel near plants or an axe near trees. Especially harvesting giant crops, I just hold the spacebar with hammer and seed-pack-it equipped. Sooner or later, I accidentally hammer something important next to the garden. Or breaking up the floating boat fragments - I'm always hamming something on my boat by accident. I wouldn't want my structures to be destroyed any quicker! I'm literally saying, "don't hammer your boat" to myself the entire time I have a hammer equipped near a boat. Durability isn't an issue for me either.
