Arcwell
The new enemies (Grazer, Deadly Brightshade, Tunneling Vine) have some form of damage resistance against non-planar attacks (planar being the damage type of the new weapons). For the life of me I can't figure out how these numbers make sense other than to say "decrease damage by some amount". Has anyone found a formula for this? Here are some damage numbers for various weapons against them, for reference (rounded to 1st decimal point): Spear: 15.2 (base 34) Shield of Terror: 21.8 (base 50) Dark Sword: 27.9 (base 68) Blow Dart: 38.5 (base 100) Brightshade Sword: 46.8 (base 38 + 30 planar) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/146957-new-enemies-damage-resistance/ Share on other sites
Electroely
Anything with the "planardefense" component uses the following formula to calculate non-planar damage: damage = (√(damage + 64) - 8) * 8 It's effectively damage reduction that gets more intense the stronger the attack is. For weapons with both regular and planar damage, only the regular damage is reduced, and the planar damage is dealt in full (after applying planar defense, which the Deadly Brightshades have none of.) Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure that out all day.
