Klei Official Endless Servers Gone Missing

Ever since the last World Gen update that added the dynamic playstyle feature I've noticed that all of the Klei Official Endless servers are gone. Is it a goof on Klei's behalf due to the way they reset servers when nobody is playing or do they not want to host Endless servers anymore?

They said in the bug tracker "The official dedicated endless servers is a known issue that is being worked on."

No other mention about it (that I know about)

It was reported in october 25, 2022 maybe that is why you didnt find it

I made 20 posts about this and the response from peterA was that they were working on it. Fast forward almost a year and they basically they got rid of it. My guess is because I was pestering them too much about it i guess? Just seems like a really crappy reason to just get rid of endless servers like that especially when there are like no decent endless servers anymore and it seems like noone on forums care because i just get ridiculed for asking now

Hey, there are still a lot of good Endless servers, Mighty Beard is one and there was never anyone I would call ******-y.

mighty beard usually on like day 3000 when i join their server and they're all done with everything, also the admins are power thirsty.

not to mention they're eu which i get like 150 ping on.

Klei endles servers usually got reset around day 200 - 300 which was the best

Sounds like a very polite "No, we don't want to bring them back" for me. And I don't think they did it because of you, it would be very dumb reason to get rid of something many players liked because a singular member of a community with thousands of players was making heated posts demanding them to bring it back. There must be some reason out of their hands, maybe. Who knows?.

That's a vanilla moderated Endless server located in Central EU. Perhaps Nimz is in another time-zone and doesn't have a good ping with it. But there are plenty Endless (the old terminology) servers out there, moderated or not, vanilla or with mods from various communities all around the globe. To name a few such communities hosting: Don't Fight Together, DST Survivors, Diverse Survivors, How To Survive!, Meow Together, DST Moon [EU]. There are also lone servers like Usurper's Sandals (Endless). If one is seriously looking for alternatives, one will find solutions.

And there seems to be your problem: you want a Rusher's Endless experience - enough to be yourself able to go into end-game content in rushing manner, perhaps with a team of friends, but not long enough to leisurely construct stuff as casual regulars. Probably those casuals one gets via pubs are to you solely comedic relief/entertainment, that may be why you desire bulk player-base interaction as opposed to you and your friends renting your own dedi server by now. Yes, on Mighty Beard you won't be able to impose your will on entire pub, the moderators active there will prevent such conduct. Yet I must admit Cez, the owner, kinda dropped the ball for some time now, hastily promoting questionable characters to moderator positions - such as the lad that always changes his nick, a pretty vulgar and antisocial hoarder; hence I give you that, at least 2 moderators there are unpleasant people to have around past first (bad) impression.

half the reason is because they used to crash a lot. you build up a lot of clutter over the course of 1-2 dst years, and it taxes the servers hard. Nims knows this. He just prefers at least being able to play through 1-2 dst years vs just autumn and winter over and over again, which is understandable. Many many many people have reached out with alternatives but he's also hell bent on only playing on klei official endless servers for whatever reason.

I think Mighty Beard is great. They always have a gorgeous main/public base. I dont care about the mods. They keep griefing/inappropriate behavior to a minimum and that's all i ask.
