Why Is it that you can only poison one canary a day?

So Was doing some testing for a dart video. Wanted to show off feather collection methods.
And i found out you can only get 1 canary a day basically. if you try to put multiple canaries in the caves. only one will be poisoned each day.
one would think they are all exposed to the air they should all get poisoned around the same time.

But no sadly thats not how it works.
The canaries need to be in the caves for at least 390 seconds.  after that point every 30 seconds they get an 8.33% chance to become poisoned.
This goes up every 30 seconds.  until a bird gets poisoned.

Then all the canaries reset their counter meaning you have to wait another day for it.

Does there really need to be a limiter  canary feather farming like this?
They arleady only have a 5% drop rate and now you can only get 6 a day.
Its honestly better to just use the napsack to dupe them for darts.

There are no such limiter to canary feather farm. you can farm feather with wicker bottom and her birb book. On averange, i think i can farm one stack each day.

canaries have a 5% drop rate for their feathers.  That would be like 800 birds to have the probability to get a stack of canary feathers.

9%. You need to kill about 450 birbs.
Bird of the world summon 10~20 bird each. You only need to read book about 30 times to get one stack of feather.
If you want, you can comment your world name i can go help build a full set up for birb farm with book.

If you only care about the feather and not about krampus spawn, you can even set up catapus kill mode which farm even faster.

mm i guess they buffed it. It used to be 5%  thats alot better than before.

I think out of 5 years playing, it always been 9%...

Hmm i check the wiki and they change canary feather drop from 5% to 9% back in feb 2017

Would be nice if multiple canaries could be poisoned. Seems like a logical thing. Just changing how it is programmed would be the weird part, but I know it can be done.
