New worlds start at day 1?

After hopping to a new world by sea/skyworthy, can the new generated world be made to start at day 1?

And merging existing worlds can remain their days.

Everytime I jump from reign of giants/shipwrecked to hamlet world I am greeted with aporkalypse and it's far from pleasant.

So I am forced to start multi-world save files in Hamlet, every time. 

 

 

I believe having new generated worlds at day 1 can give the players more freedom.

 

I'm under the assumption that it's to preserve some degree of challenge; a tradeoff for being able to start with an inventory abundant with all the things that are so scarce in Hamlet, and crafting menu full of anything you might want to bring along, including a Seaworthy in case you need an emergency exit.

I just went through that myself. Knowing what I was getting into, I brought along everything I figured I'd need to survive and raid the ruins to find and reset the Aporkalypse Calendar, and before long the pigs were celebrating the end of the end of days. It was intense and uncertain at times, but I got it done. I don't think it's an unreasonable challenge for a properly prepared player.

And if you really want to skip all that, you do retain the option of making a Hamlet world separately and merging it instead of creating a new world through the Skyworthy.
