Hey @Mths007, welcome to the forums.

Once the mods are subscribed from the Steam Workshop, they would have to do the following if they aren't able to play with the mods:

  • Verify the integrity of the game cache (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)
  • Start DST
  • In main menu, click mods.
  • Click Client Mods to enable the client-specific mods you want to use while playing.
  • Click Server Mods to enable server-specific mods if user is the host of the server.
  • Apply
  • Join other games and only client-specific mods will be running
  • OR host a server so both client-specific and server-specific mods will be running.

If the method above doesn't help, send a Bug Report to the Bug Tracker here: Don't Starve Together - Klei Bug Tracker - Klei Entertainment Forums and click Add New Bug in the corner. Include screenshots if possibles and log files. client_log.txt etc if available. Instructions below:

Spoiler

Don't Starve Together Log File (client_log.txt)

If you notice a critical error when playing Don't Starve together, close the game (to ensure that the log file gets fully written) and go into your Documents folder at Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\ and find "client_log.txt". Include the content of that file in your bug report.

MDMP File

If you are playing on Steam, it may be helpful to provide us with your .mdmp file. It should be located in your Steam folders at: Steam > SteamApps > Common > Don't Starve Together Beta > bin > .mdmp

DXDiag

In order to get a DXDiag on Windows:
- Click on your Start button
- Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to access the "Run" window
- On the new window, type in dxdiag.exe and press enter; this will open up the DirectX diagnostic tool
- Click on the "Save All Information" tab on the diagnostic tool
- A "Save As..." window will pop up where you can click on save. It will save your hardware information as a document to your desktop (default).
- Close the diagnostic tool and attach the new document to your forum post or support ticket.

What happens when you click the button with the three arrows beside the "Clean All" button? You may have to update all the mods you have. That should show the actual mod and not just "workshop-###". Try the following:

  • Close DST
  • On Steam's Games Library > Click DST > Click Workshop
  • Click Browse > Subscribed Items
  • Take note of every mod you are subscribed to, on a notepad file or on paper
  • Unsubscribe to all the mods on the steam workshop
  • Verify The Integrity of The Game Cache - https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
  • Re-subscribe to mods on the steam workshop
  • Open DST

But if updating them doesn't work. It might be an issue with the logged in account on the PC.

Follow the method shown in this Klei Support Article link: My mods are corrupted (workshop-xxxxxxx) and I can't remove them – Klei Entertainment
