I got Somnium Synthesizer on the third asteroid and Critter Flux-O-Matic is even far away at my first attempt to the first 2 story traits. If the story trait is not generated, there should be a warning message. So happy hunting. If you find all asteroids without the story trait, you might file a bug to Klei and have them take a look at the seed.
