As of right now we gain a smidge of sanity for crafting something we never did before. But I think it would encourage people or at least rewards those who like to make new recipes by giving them a smidge of sanity for making something they never have before. I think its a no brainer get it brainer because of Sanity haha. But seriously I think it would help those who never crafted anything before get a bit out of trying something new and encourage others to try making a new tasty treat.
