I've played at little bit during beta but that was a long time ago. After exploring pig ruins I've ended up on another island and unintentionally summoned the worm boss. I wanted to go back and get some kit to fight it, but the way back was blocked by vines and my shears didn't have enough durability to get through all of them which meant the only way was forward. It took me two days, but I managed to beat the worm by the skin of my teeth. I explored the whole island but couldn't find any other path leading out of it other than that in the temple which I came through (which is now blocked by vines). Did I get soft locked or is there another way out? During the fight I thought maybe I could jump into the hole the boss came out of but that wasn't possible.
