Further natural decomposition for rot, manure, guano?

Should the listed items have a freshness meter, which, while not impacting its effectiveness upon use, cause the item to disappear upon expiration like ice and spores? It sounds like a good idea to me, as not only would it help control clutter, but also make compost bins and buckets o' poop more important, as compost and the bucket contents would not similarly degrade with time.

i never understood why we have a mechanic to delete logs and stumps over time but not something to clean the world from guano and rot
