Bugfix request, please let us heal catcoons again

This update is heavily focused on QOL and small fixes, and since that's the case, can I once again ask to get back the ability to cure cats with healing items like any other mobs? The year of the catcoon broke it, and it's still not fixed. Please, please, please, I just want to be a crazy cat lady with 15 catcoons in a shed (it's my butterfly farm, don't judge) and be able to heal them if they get into a little fight, instead of waiting until they die and get new ones. You can heal hostile mobs, but not cats? Just why? And don't tell me that the systems of giving items and healing are incompatible. You have been able to give toys to cats since forever in addition to proper healing, and it still works just fine with other mobs that you can give stuff to. It's only cats that have a problem.
