Ohan
B) each item fed (doesnt matter what) raises obedience by 10%, up to 100%. u have to get a feel for the pace at which obedience decreases. in the beginning u'll get bucked off quickly but once u have some domestication the buck timer becomes a nice gauge for the obedience. Feeding it a couple of twigs whenever u get bucked off is a safe bet. obedience also decreases if the beef gets hit while riding, maybe thats what u were experiencing. D) start of autumn to start of summer is definitely not how long it should take if things go correctly, especially not if u had a brush too. did u leave it near a salt lick when it was in heat during spring or when u were not riding it? At this point i have a lot of beef wrangling experience under my belt so i regularly start around day 5 and finish by day ~25. 20 days is how long it should take without a brush if everything goes correctly. ive heard its 15 if u do have a brush but ive never used one. for me domestication has become really easy with experience but i definitely didn't succeed on my first several tries either. If u keep at it im sure u'll get the hang of it too. beefs, especially an ornery are really powerful so the effort required is appropriate imo. beef ui mod is a great way to get used to the system i used to use it too until i got a feel for it. i dont think ive ever experienced the cave thing u mention, have u tried unbonding then re-bonding the beefalo? This series by swanky psammead was a real breakthrough for me back in the day: Spoiler Jazzy's Games on youtube has several beef tutorials too that r more recent and short format Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/143409-beefalo-taming-improvements/#findComment-1599718 Share on other sites

DajeKotlyar
I don't feel like we need changes in taming system. Its take a lot time, but pretty solid. I'd like more things to do with beefalo, cause for now we can choose only between fighting and transport. Klei can add more different saddles, for example storage saddle, which works like Woby, farming saddle, to faster till farms, disco saddle, which work similar to hutch with one man's band in it. These three saddles should decrease animal speed, for balance sake Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/143409-beefalo-taming-improvements/#findComment-1599791 Share on other sites
Lolwhaaa
Reducing the chances of doing an "accidental attack" on a beefalo with a saddle would be a welcome addition. Nothing hurts me more that hitting the beefalo after holding the feed button for a bit longer than usual after your stack of food ends or having to do a force attack and hitting it (I'm too lazy to click targets, I admit it.) So maybe give like a "player shield" for 1 hit every 5 mins or so. or make the beefalo drop your current hand slot on hit and maybe regress some but not all of the taming and obedience. Now for the beefalo bell, it would be interesting for it to let you issue commands to the beefalo such as "wait here" to make it stay still or move in a very small radius of where you click, a "follow" command based on the distance between you and where you click and a "move out" for when its night time or you want it to move immediately for some reason. That way you can have the beefalo have some distance from you while you're busy on a base or doing other tasks like mining or getting charcoal. Oh, and give these commands to other followers like wobby via walters hat or your headgear, chester/hutch (via eyebone/star-sky) glommer via glommer's flower and other followers by other items and means if possible.
