NoNihilism Posted September 24, 2022 Share Posted September 24, 2022 At the beginning of the game when you click on a storage bin, ration box, etc. you only see listed the materials you have on hand. This leads to all kinds of problems especially since when there's only element under a heading selecting it means selecting the heading so newly discovered materials under that same heading are checked by default. For example, at the start of every game I have a problem with the first polluted dirt and water. I can't set a storage container to hold polluted dirt until it's produced, I want that stuff tucked away as quickly as possible, and the fact that I can't have a container set to store it until it's available slows the process down. But much worse is the first polluted water, as I always have a bottle emptier set to drain water right into my most convenient water supply. As soon as the dupe empties the wash basin, he immediately goes to dump that polluted water right into my main water supply! I know there are ways of dealing with this, but it's just so easy to let my attention wander just for a second and let that dupe poison my well. And the permanent fix for it is simple and so obvious: just have containers list all the materials in the game from the beginning. Pretty please! I'll love you forever! It`s visible in the codex anyway.
