Garamonde Posted September 24, 2022 Share Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) Did you happen to follow the video tutorial by warriorspath by any chance? My best guess would be it's a filename issue. They have to be exactly the same, from the character folders (including the ghost folder), to within the "[character]_none.lua" file, and make sure the SCML file is named the same too. So for example, my character is named "capn". I had to make sure everything was named "capn" (or CAPN if it needed uppercase). That can usually be found under Documents > Klei > DoNotStarveTogether > client_log.txt (if you're using a Windows computer that is). This right here's the issue. It's like you suspected, the game's not picking up your animation files. But that's because of the filenames not matching. You will need to make sure that your character's filename for the mod is the same in all these places: The name of the SCML file Every time your character's name shows up in "modmain.lua" and "[character].lua" (under the scripts > prefabs folder) The name of the character's folder inside the "exported" folder (this includes the ghost, so for example you'd have "clubpenguinmaster2064" and "ghost_clubpenguinmaster2064_build") The names inside your "[character]_none.lua" file which is also under the scripts > prefabs folder (open this in your text editor (preferably Notepad++) and chances are you'll have something like this... So you'll basically want to make sure all instances of "esctemplate" (both lowercase and uppercase) are replaced with your character's name, so "clubpenguinmaster2064" for lowercase and "CLUBPENGUINMASTER2064" for uppercase. To do this easily and make sure nothing is missed, hit ctrl + f to bring up Find, then choose the Find in Files tab. You should make sure all your settings are exactly like this (and set the directory to be your character's folder): Then click Replace in Files. Now you'll wanna delete your "anim" zip files and make sure the name is the same in all your lua files and your folder names. Run the autocompiler again under Mod Tools and everything should be good to go! If not, feel free to attach your whole mod folder (as a zip file) and I'll take a look. Hope that helps! Some of your character's textures are 8-bit images: arm_upper-1 arm_upper_skin-0 arm_upper_skin-1 arm_upper_skin-2 The autocompiler doesn't recognise 8-bit images. Replace them with 32-bit images to match the rest of your mod and it will compile. Hope this helps! You could use a website like this: https://www.onlineconvert.com/png-to-png32 I'm not completely sure if it keeps transparency in the images, so you'll want to watch for that. Alternatively, for a more reliable solution, you could download Paint.NET (free image editing program) and open the problem images.
