insulated pack question

when placing a thermal stone in the insulated pack, will it slow the stone's loss of temperature? i know it can't cool them because it doesn't function the same as an icebox (nor do i think it should), but does it keep cool thermal stones cool and hot thermal stones hot for a longer period of time? i feel like that'd make sense, since its purpose is to insulate and therefore keep temperature stable, not to keep food cool. i'll still use it either way since i tend to keep food in my backpack already, but that would definitely make summer a lot better (in winter you can just light a tree on fire to warm your thermal stone back up which is super cheap, but in summer you have to build an endothermic fire, which is expensive to continually build, or constantly go back to base to switch out two thermal stones from the ice box. i know ice chester exists, but he's more expensive than he's worth imo [for my playstyle at least, since i personally would only use him for cooling a thermal stone one season out of the year, and 9 blue gems is a lot], and i prefer shadow chester for the extra inventory space). maybe that'd make it a little op, but to be fair you have to survive a whole year and kill a boss before you have access to it (unless you get bearger fur from klaus in winter, but that's only by chance, and again, you'd have to fight a raid boss), and other things can be done to balance it out, like maybe it draining the thermal stone's durability... unless it already does the thermal stone thing and i'm just rambling, lol. but i figured i'd make sure it didn't here first before dropping this in the suggestions forum. thanks!
