Gouflax
Hi, I share here my new setup : it allow to ranch all the kind of bugs in the same ranching room. The idea here is to rush the radiant bug by exploiting the small chance of each bug to lay an egg from the upper species, without having to feed them with complex food. You can feed the 5 first species with phosphorite. When you reach the abyssal bug, you need to feed them with meat. For this, a huge (but not so complex) automatisation setup pilot the entries of the bugs. The ranching room : When the critter sensor detect a lack of bug in the ranching room, it sends a green signal to all entry doors. The ranching room is big enough for 8 bugs, but the sensor is set on 7 to avoid overpopulation. If there is a bug in the bottom waiting room on a column, it also send a green signal, and the AND gate also send a green signal to the upper AND gate. At this point, if there is a bug in the waiting room, the NOT gate doesn’t allow the door from the previous shine bug to open. With this system, only the more rares bugs can enter the ranching room. When the bug enter the ranching room, the upper door open and the next bug can take his place. The columns : When an egg is layed in the ranching room, it goes on the rail, and pass throw the 7 sensors. Each one is able to detect the 7 kind of eggs of the shine bugs. There is 4 waiting room under each sensor. If all of them are full, the egg end his way in the waiting room. The waiting room : In this final room stays all the remaining bugs, who wait to lay an egg and die. Here again, each egg go on the rail to fill the columns, or go back in the waiting room. With the increasing amount of bug, the probability to have a better egg also increase, and accelerate the way to the radiant bug. Bad news : if you don’t have a good computer, you will lag … a lot ! After 200 cycles, i have 416 bugs in this room. --- I started the setup with 1 shine bug, 1 shine nymph and 1 egg. I had the first sun bug egg after 27 cycles, and the first radiant bug egg after 203 cycles. Bonus : you got a small amount of shells for steel, and a lot of radioactivity ! What about for the duplicant that needs the lights on when he sleeps? It's a little radioactive but rub a large enough supply of lubricant, he should be ok. Maybe.
