My opinions on each of the books in this thread:

Horticulture Expanded

Pretty good, but suffers from only being slightly better then it's component book, with less uses. With both of these factors, this book fails to impress me. Finally, if you have a way of auto tending between growth phases, this book becomes redundent.

Angler's Survival Guide

Very solid, summons random asortment of fish, what fish it choses is an unknown but I'm sure people will figure that out, just like how they've already figured out you can easily farm with this book using trident/cannon.

Pyrokinetics Explained

This ones a bit odd, unsure what should change about this book since its recipe requires The End Is Nigh. But I do know this book doesn't quite feel as powerful or game changing as wicker's other books.

Tempering Temperatures

Weak, setting your temperature to 35'C feels very underwhelming, maybe if the effect had a duration or flipped ones temperature it would be something I would carry wherever I go during the harsher seasons.

Overcoming Arachnophobia

The weakest book introduced into this rework, 30 second small AoE slow that doesn't affect flying creatures is not worth the hassle of 2 papers when I can instead use other tools to achieve similar, better results. This book needs a lot more power going for it to justify having the key stats that every book shares; Very limited uses, large sanity cost and only being usable by reader survivors (Wickerbottom and Maxwell oh and also Wurt kinda)

The way this book works, doesn't feel like a book ability as of this moment.

Horticulture Expanded: Should affect 18 crops please and thank you. Allows you to grow a whole farm in 2 reads. 15 crops is just a very awkward  number to work with. 

Angler's Survival Guide: Is fine. 

Pyrokinetics Explained: I think the range of putting out fires should be better. I don't know how to make the Fiery Pen better without also reworking the fire staff to be better. They seem to go hand in hand. Both are kind of useless. 

Overcoming Arachnophobia: Buff duration and range, and then maybe eventually it'll find some use, in some kind of farm or boss fight.
