Increased sanity gain, light radius, scaring away the shadows. Kinda like a weaker lantern but slightly better in radius to a torch. Bernie could be getting some moon glass or rock infusions, giving him some sort of moonrock boxing gloves to be smacking creatures more effectively or being generally more tanky. Either giving him some kinds of tiny clothes that would turn into more powerful defense or damage items as he turns to BERNIE! A sort of way to maybe modify your Bernies to work with the moon power over shadow.
