Imagine if we could turn cannons!

Now I know this would be riddle the point of the rudder, but it could not turn farther in a direction if part of a boat is blocking it(obviously not directly in front of it) This will make cannons more maneuverable but not too much as to remove the function of the rudder. Oh and also tha cannon wouldn’t be able to turn unless it’s on the very edge of a boat or it’s on land. Now go plunder, ye bilge rats!

I think Klei is afraid of DST turning into Call of Duty (exaggerating). I like the idea of a cannon being too cumbersome to be a primary weapon but a great secondary weapon. That fits in the world of DST and makes people try to think out of the box and also adds immersion. But if survivors had the ability to successfully craft a cannon that works more than once, I think they would also have the ability to make it rotatable and still work....or maybe not. Maybe it takes someone like Winona to have both.
