The material is only used for making steel, at least in vanilla, and it make sense a alternative with less conductivity and greater specific heat capacity. Sasza22 Posted June 15, 2022 Share Posted June 15, 2022 It`s weird that you can`t use it for tempshifts (i was sure you can) almost all other resources can be used to make them. Anyway i think refined carbon should be used in more things like for making medicine instead of coal. The kiln is the same tier as the apothecary so it shouldn`t hurt and changing some coal to ref carbon would mean it won`t get burned and you can save it for pills.
