Wilson's Beard's

I've found a beard for Wilson and it has the green check mark on it, but it just grows the default beard instead of the one I picked.  Any help would be great.

The skinned beard that Wilson grows by default depends on the head skin that Wilson is wearing (Roseate, Triumphant, etc).

I'm guessing you're playing Wilson without any head skins, so Wilson by default grows the default beard. The only way to get the beard that doesn't match the head skin is if you got is to make a Clean Sweeper and sweep yourself to change the beard style.
