Hal, the BFF critter

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, first of all I'm loving this new WX-78 rework, the team really outdid themselves this time! I don't have a lot of complaints, the only changes I would make are the already over-suggested aura of insanity from the Chorusbox Circuit to Maxwell, and all 3 stats at 128 or 111 to not damage my OCD.

Now, my personal suggestion (maybe a little bit silly, but pretty cool in my opinion) is based on this in-game quote here:

Quote

“HIS NAME IS HAL. HE IS MY FRIEND.” – WX-78, when examining the Lying Robot.

That's right, how about along with this rework make Hal, the Lying Robot Trinket, a critter adoptable by WX-78. I just think it would be super cute to see our emotionless robot zooming around with his two mechanical friends Hal and Jimmy.

Critters can be adopted in a Rock Den with one item and one food, so a Lying Robot and a Gear would work well.

So in the future, skins for this new Critter could also be released, matching the WX-78 skins!

Mechanically speaking, with this addition, I could see three paths:

  1. Hal is just cute and does nothing;
  2. Having Hal with you grants you a 7th circuit slot;
  3. Wx-78 starts the game with 5  slots, and needs Hal to get the 6th. (In this case the Acceleration Circuit could have its requirement lowered to 5).

That's it, I would also like to leave here my positive feedback regarding the job already done on this rework, thanks to the developers!

As cool as Hal being a critter. I don't think he should give any special abilities for WX. That goes against what critters are meant for.

If Hal gave 3 extra circuit slots or anything similair, why would any wx choose the other critters over Hal?

(Im not saying Hal shouldnt be a critter, I really want a funny robot to follow me around and make beeping noises. Id make him my adoptive son.)
