[Suggestion] Illumination Circuit

In order to improve it, I wanna first discuss why it's useful in the first place. Light sources can be put into several different categories based on range:

Category 1. Small radius for vision and exploration. Such as torch and lighters. Their radius is too small for proper fights in the dark.

Category 2. Super small light, usually for staying alive in the dark. Such as hot thermal stone, super dim glow berries.

Category 3. Medium range light, good for combat in the darkness. Such as miner's hat and lantern.

Category 4. Luxuious range light sources and vision, such as stars and toggle.

Category others.

 

Currently, the illumination circuit only wants to function as medium range light. It's equivalent to trading 4 slots to a lantern. I suggest it be more customizable to different kinda light radius.

Here are 2 different ideas

1. Each circuit takes 1 slot. One illumination circuits provide absolutely minimal amount of light. Two can provide light like a torch. Four is same as current radius. Three, five and six get their radius proportionally. If someone wx's dream is to become a lamp, he should be allowed to do so.

2. Each circuit takes 2 slot. One illumination circuits provide something slightly smaller than a torch. Two be as good as current radius. Three be a walking lamp, something smaller than maxed out campfire.

I think the 1 slot approach works better than the 2 slot one just by virtue of the fact that he doesn't have very many module combos, so adding more small modules (or more module space in general, with certain boss-gated stacking limits for the same module on some of the stronger ones), would improve the experience overall.

I think its an interesting and VERY modular concept. I don’t necessarily agree with either one, mostly because then you could have torch levels of light (which IS still plenty to work with if you’re experienced) for only 2 slots. Which is bad because darkness is one of the most basic of challenges that the characters face. Solving it permanently for a third of his available slots is a bit too good. I also personally believe that at its current strength the circuit SHOULD be 4. Some people seem to be of a differing opinion, but its still a fairly strong infinite light. Make the moggles 5 if it bothers you that they’re the same price. 
i could however see it being willows lighter levels of light at 2 slots then at 4 being its current strength. It could either have a very large light pool at six or be capped at 4, because you dont want to invalidate the need for a group of people to need light.
