nimzowitsch10 Posted March 15, 2022 Share Posted March 15, 2022 First off I'll just say that the new servers are cool and I appreciate Klei making an effort revamping things but the problem is they just can't handle any lag at all. When a server reaches 100+ days it will start lagging. Also because of the new 12 player cap more griefers join. I understand most people here think that pub servers should just go to 20 days and reset but I like long running servers where long playing people could get cool gear and build better bases. One time me and some random people got a server to 1200 days. With the new servers it's just not possible because of the amount of lag it has after a certain amount of days. Not sure if it's the 12 player cap that's causing the lag or the server itself. The old servers were very good at handling lag late game, however the rollbacks in the late games did crash them often. MondayNight Posted March 15, 2022 Share Posted March 15, 2022 Biggest problem in my experience with the new 12-slots servers is how their hardware configuration apparently is unable to handle said 12 players - when 8-10 people are on, server performance goes into "yellow" territory, while 10-12 is "red", with horrid lag to the point of being unable to move for 5-10s (or even more). Also rollback-to-crash issue I believe is tied to the CURL Error, introduced with an update in autumn-winter of last year.
