Changing character quotes in a language mod doesn't apply.

Recommended Posts

I've dowloaded POedit and created an Estonian po file with the template of strings.pot file. Item name translations work well and all, aside from some intricacies of the language, but character quotes like Wolfgangs "Hello, tree!" doesn't seem to get replaced. Can somebody guide me why this is happening. I've included the link to a drive folder where I have uploaded the .po file, the modinfo file and the modmain file. Idk what the .mo file is doing there. It doesn't seem to be relevant, but I still included it.

If your world has a cave, you should load the translation file on server if you want quotes translated.

As I've inspected on DST scripts while maintenencing my Korean localization, the game seems to send only the string of quote itself from server to client on dedicated server, and it seems like in purpose of compatibility with mods that add strings after your character's quotes. If your world has a cave, the game creates the session 'emulating' a dedicated server. Therefore, the PO file should be loaded on the server if you want to apply translation on character quotes.

Edit: not only host with cave, also dedicated server. Well that sucks.
