Frostybutt
Hello!! I need a bit of help with the creation of a mod, I've been search for hours and have finally reached my wit's end. >.> I wanted to know if there was a way to change the pivot points of an object to match what I would like in game? Or if there was some code I'd have to go into and change them manually? If so what would that be, how would I get to it, and what do I plug in to fix the dimensions to match? What I'm trying to do is reuse some pieces from that comes with a lil skirt and repurpose it as neck fluff for my lil kitty son! But despite me changing the pivot points in Spriter, the points remain the same in game. (or even better if anyone could direct me to a mod that has preexisting neck fur !! it would save me loads of trouble aha ^^') but If anyone can help me I will forever be in your debt!! And if anyone can possible properly recreate it all together I would happily pay as well! <3 Thank you so much for anyone willing to help!! IronHunter
Changing pivot points in your spriter animation has no relevance unless you are playing that specific animation. As we are mostly using stock klei animations for our characters, you'll only want to change pivot points for your symbols if your textures do not fit into the file's resolution. As for your question, modifying the skirt symbol's pivot will probably not work out very well for you as it is animated to always be at the bottom of the torso, and while you can make your textures appear higher than that point on the pivot, the player's torso symbol will frequently change in animations and likely your custom skirt wouldn't follow the headbase nicely. Is there a reason you don't just make your neckfur built into the torso? Much like a lot of fur lined coat skins Or if you need some jiggle fluff you could try experimenting with the hair symbol. If you headbase is different proportions you could make it slightly higher up above the pivot so the hair is more visible at the necklevel. Also messing with the skirt symbol means any skins that change that symbol if you even allow compatibility for them will automatically override that symbol resulting in it just disappearing off your character. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/136144-changing-the-pivot-points-of-an-object-to-match-them-in-game/#findComment-1523470 Share on other sites
Frostybutt
Yeah I just wanted the jiggly fluff, haha! But okay, I see. Guess I'll try experimenting with the the hair symbols for a lil bit then! Thank you so much for the help n' reply! ^^ 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/136144-changing-the-pivot-points-of-an-object-to-match-them-in-game/#findComment-1524290 Share on other sites
