The starting asteroid for the badlands moonlet cluster is like the terra cluster, except with more rock, random oil, and a humongous amount of water.

i started off with so much water and a really good start, and its going GOOD.

Radioactive ocean is very cool and I’m enjoying it. It finally just occurred to me at cycle 200 that there’s no iron and no gold amalgam on either the starting world orc the one on the other side of the warp conduit. Also, the starting world doesn’t really have that much aluminum ore, so I’m going to have to refine copper ore into copper on the other world and ship both that and ore through the conduit in order to build anything. I like that this cluster really forces you to specialize colonies and deal with logistics.

what do you mean no iron? there are the drecko biomes, which have iron. and why would you need aluminum?

I did the same thing. Then around cycle 300 after I had brought back a load of iron ore from the the frozen forest world, I noticed that I had quite a lot of rust in my home base that could have been be de-oxidized into iron ore.
