Some way to prevent Woodie's curse

Woodie is, in my opinion at least, in a very good spot right now. 

He definitely leans a bit towards worlds that don't tend to stick around for too long, but I think it's perfectly fine to have characters lean a bit more towards being useful different parts of the game, such as Wanda.

What I don't think is fine is that Woodie is locked out of a lot of later game content, or at least can be pretty annoying to play as.

I am, of course, mainly talking about the moon storm event, where every night is a full moon. This means that Woodie transforms every single night, with no way to prevent it. Things like boss fights are made nearly impossible by this.

There are also a few other special full moon events, such as glommer, the moon stone, and werepigs, which are made substantially more difficult with involuntary transformations.

Now, Woodie's involuntary  transformations are a large part of his downsides. I would probably said, before the moon storm update, that the item should be a one use item with a substantial cost. However, because the moon storm makes Woodie transform every night, I think it would be better to have something with multiple uses, but have it require quite a bit of risk to get to, such as locking it behind the ruins, or even a boss.

Any thoughts? I'm kind of hesitant about suggesting this because it removes one of Woodie's main downsides. However, I do think it's necessary for him to be more viable in the late game.
