Migrating between platforms.

I know I've made posts on this topic before but I'm really hoping for some visibility on this and maybe (crossing fingers) some developer feedback on what's feasible.

Right now I'm on Playstation. I've collected a decent number of rare skins, including all 4 of the ones associated with the Funko Pop collectibles and most, if not all, the Twitch drops. However, I've retired the PS and have largely moved on to the Xbox ecosystem. What I really would like to do is be able to access these same skins on an Xbox version of the game. I don't have a problem paying for a new copy of the game. I don't even have a problem paying a one-time fee to do any sort of migration. The rarity of my skins is what's really holding me up from restarting on Xbox. I understand that part of the challenge to this is that Sony wants their cut with DLC/Skins though in this case, Sony already got my money and MS that doesn't make a big stink about such things. Any response would be appreciated.

It's unlikely for sony to allow it considering your still a potential customers and there's no profit in it for them to let you leave their platform.

Back during the Epic/Apple legal battle, one of the topics brought up was about purchases being made on a different platform but used on Sony’s. The stipulation there was that Sony required Epic to pay Sony 25% of whatever the user paid on other platforms if they used that item on Sony’s platform. Xbox did not have such a requirement. I’m other words, Sony will allow some form of cross play. After all, it’s the developer that ultimately knows what account has what items. But it will cost the developer. Again, I’m personally ok with the cost shifting over to the player.

Thing is tho it's not just dst there are multiple instances where I've heard about sony holding back crossplay I imagine they only really allow it on games that will turn big profits like free to play.
