ZnSstr
Hello Klei, Could you add a user written journal for each colony? Like in The Long Dark game, I am playing oni with pauses of weeks and when I come back to an old colony, I would like to have some text written in game about what problems or projects I neet to take care of, I just came back to a colony in cycle 600 and I forgot why one of them has no food, then I remembered second asteroid feeds food to first and on the third I realized sulfur goes down so I needed to build a rocket to get that one dupe back. Would be amazing to not use notepad for this, thank you. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/133689-journal-for-each-colony/ Share on other sites

I don't know if something like what you are asking will be implemented, but in the mean time, there are plenty of easy solutions for us to work around the problem. I know it has been requested a few times by different users on the forums. I would suggest using something like google docs/sheets (free), word/excel, notepad etc. to make up to do lists that you can refer to at any moment and that you can format in any way you want to suit your personal needs. If you use google docs/sheet, you can even update your list of projects from your phone while you are commuting, walking outside, or comfortably sitting in an outhouse (don't we all do that). I think that anything they would implement in game would probably be subject to 1000 suggestion posts on the forums from users wanting it done in X or Y way, or adding Z very specific feature. I have been using google sheets with success and never personally felt the need to have a notepad within ONI directly. Yea I am a notepad guy haha, well I was thinking they could make use of these lore computers, like give them electricity and a dupe hacking them and we could be able to write files there fitting perfectly the lore and art. Depends on how the art guy sees it. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/133689-journal-for-each-colony/#findComment-1495245 Share on other sites
