Glurth
Hi everyone! I'm not sure why, but while playing don't starve together, randomly my screen turns black and completely freezes my computer, forcing me to have to turn it off manually from the button, this doesn't happen with any other game, and I don't know what it's due to. I leave the specifications of my pc in case it can be of help. Thanks! intel I7 3820 8 gb ram amd r9
Zillvr
Hello @Glurth, welcome to the forums. There are a lot of variables of what could be going wrong. To help narrow it down even more, head over to https://forums.kleientertainment.com/klei-bug-tracker/dont-starve-together/ and click Add Bug to make a new post. In the new post, include the following (if available) and also explain your situation again and what you've tried to fix it: (1) Don't Starve Together Log File (client_log.txt) If you notice a critical error when playing Don't Starve together, close the game (to ensure that the log file gets fully written) and go into your Documents folder at Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\ and find "client_log.txt". Include the content of that file in your bug report. (2) MDMP File If you are playing on Steam, it may be helpful to provide us with your .mdmp file. It should be located in your Steam folders at: Steam > SteamApps > Common > Don't Starve Together Beta > bin > .mdmp (3) DXDiag In order to get a DXDiag on Windows: - Click on your Start button - Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to access the "Run" window - On the new window, type in dxdiag.exe and press enter; this will open up the DirectX diagnostic tool - Click on the "Save All Information" tab on the diagnostic tool - A "Save As..." window will pop up where you can click on save. It will save your hardware information as a document to your desktop (default). - Close the diagnostic tool and attach the new document to your forum post or support ticket. In the meantime, you could also peruse the Klei Support page found here: https://support.klei.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029555352-DST-Is-Crashing-DST-Won-t-Start At a glance, my assumptions would be you haven't updated your graphics card drivers in a while. Or possibly some of your GPU settings implemented by Radeon Software outside the game could be conflicting with the games renders and ends up outputting nothing. Mind you, these are just assumptions. Hopefully your log files will provide more information.
