After i died a few times, because my fire went out(yes unfortunately i forgot to refuel it), my inventory was full and when i made a torch for myself i couldn't equip it fast enough because of the darkness and panic !? so my suggestion if you make a torch it would be nice to have it autoequipped. Of course the thing currently in your arms should be dropped to the ground .

That would have helped you in that situation, but in other situations it might be a pain to have it auto equip when you dont want to. Not to mention that a big part of surviving is knowing when to use a certain object. Yes it is harsh of the game, but it is survival, and survival is nor fair.

Yup, I died once because I had no light source, but after that incident I always kept a torch handy for these kinds of instances. Now that you know how swiftly death can descend you'll know to do the same.
