Bigfootmech
I know I've already done it, so it's not the best time to ask But better late than never I'm currently making a mod collectionhttps://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/127041-collection-comms-patch-for-caves-travel/ So as one mod icons, I've repurposed some of the button_icons Is this allowed? If not, how much is allowed? (ie: is using the default background allowed?, is using modified screenshots from the game allowed? Is using self-drawn art of in-game characters allowed?) Is there a better place to ask? like emailing them? I'm asking now, before I go any further. And intend to rework anything if Klei doesn't find it appropriate. Wonderlarr
It's totally allowed, everything in the base game can be used, at least in a visual sense. Only thing I can see you getting in hot water for is if you literally port stuff that's already in the game to a mod with no changes, like making a Maxwell character mod with no gameplay or cosmetic differences. In your case, you're perfectly safe to use both the default background and the button icons. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/127185-using-klei-assets-as-part-of-mod-icons-is-it-allowed/#findComment-1430574 Share on other sites
