alienzombie903 Posted February 4, 2021 Share Posted February 4, 2021 story time , avg a an anti bug program fougth that dst was a virus called ''idp generic '' and proceded to 404 the exe , when i tried to update so i cant do so without the exe and my pc cant seem to able to find it . how on earth do i fix this ? Uninstall current botched-out DST version, uninstall Avast, download a 30-days trial of Kaspersky or Bitdefender (among the best AVs, here's a supporting article from PCMag plus more security solutions) and finally reinstall DST. Have a clean start for both antivirus and game. Also, afterwards, do a general sweep of your computer with newly installed and updated AV, to be sure everything's in order. More-so, as a rule-of-thumb, no Steam-installed game has viruses. For spyware.. that's another fish dish.
