Tomasbm07
I'm hosting a DST dedicated server on my PC. I have a few friends who play with me on the same network but we have a friend that is from another region and that has 120+ ping. I have set my bind and master ip on cluster.ini, to my ip. I have set a master port that is open on the router. Should I change the port on Master and Caves server.ini to my open port, or open those ports or leave it on the steam ones? oh, and I forgot to say that when I open the server it says region: US but we are on Europe. Idk if that makes anu diffrence or not.

Does't make any difference. 20 hours ago, Tomasbm07 said: we have a friend that is from another region and that has 120+ ping You can't just magicially expect the physical ping to lower just by changing a port to something. Latency between regions is a thing that you sadly just have to deal with. Only countermeasure would be that your friend moves closer, so the distance the signals have to travel reduces.
