Makakoa
I'm really excited for the new update. Something I was just thinking about as part of some discussions with NASA this week - there is a idea in mind for a nuclear powered rocket. It's called Centrifugal Nuclear Thermal Rocketry. This would be an amazing thing to implement in game. It is a real world thing, it uses new resources and fits in with the rocketry progression. It involves a spinning ring of uranium through which a small amount of exhaust propellent (usually of some light, common elements like magnesium hydride) passes through, is heated, and is ejected at high energy from the exhaust nozzle. Overall, it's much faster and lighter than chemical propellant systems. I'm hopefully for the DLC, and I hope it isn't too late to consider this addition to the game! ghkbrew
I'm all for some kind of late game nuclear rocketry. Though personally I think nuclear pulsed propulsion (a.k.a. dropping nuclear bombs out the back of your ship to push it forward) seems more appropriate to dupe engineering.
