character's sprites not updating in-game

Hi, I recently got a new computer and I am working on a character mod using the extended character template. But whenever I edit an image file and reopen DST, the character's sprite stay the same as it did before. When ever I open up spriter to check if the images link up and the character looks right, or try and open autocompiler.exe, this window opens up:

please help! i really like making character mods, like REALLY i dont know why but i just do ok

According to my previous experience and my old buddy Google, you will need: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010. If your Windows is x64 then here you go: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13523

After a few downloads and a few videos, I was able to fix the problem... kinda?

whenever I try and open those files again, now THIS pops up:

Well, back then it worked for me without any further steps. Unfortunately, I don't know what to do. Googe seems to be the best option right now. Cheers!
