Traizor
Have a nice day. I'm one of those players who get tired of playing in the second year. Then I had an idea how to diversify and prolong the interest in the game. I have an idea, but I don't have time to bring it to life. I hope you enjoy this idea and bring it to life. And then I'll buy DLC. By the way, I don't know English well, so there will be mistakes. DLS Apocalypse for Don't Starve Together. DLS is presented in 3 acts: 1. Pre-apocalypse. Players are introduced to a new challenge. 2. Apocalypse. Players will use the rocket-biome to escape. 3. Post-apocalypse. Players return to Earth and rebuild the planet. 1. Pre-apocalypse. After the second year (in the third year), at a random time of the year, noon becomes three hours at night, then the night goes away, and the game time continues to run its course. The next day, fire meteorites fall for several hours. Meteorites fall, destroying everything below them, leaving a ring of fire around the fall. The next day, fire meteorites return again, which will fall all day. At noon, night falls again until the end of the day, everything turns red. And by the beginning of the game evening, a huge meteorite falls, which destroys the entire surface. The entire surface burns for three days. Players must take cover in the caves until a large meteorite falls. Some caves are destroyed and become inaccessible. All biomes of the cave with an exit to the outside remain intact. End of the first act. 2. Apocalypse. At the beginning of the fourth day, the first day of the winter season begins. There is no more fire on the surface. On the surface there is nothing more alive (not even bosses), except for the reservoirs, all life remained in them. After leaving the caves, players will see petrified animals, bosses, plants. Also, destroyed buildings will remain on the site of the fire. In a random biome, players will see a crater with mountains around it, and a spaceship skeleton in the middle. Next to it, players will see a live pilot, and next to the pilot there will be a building "synthesizer of life". The spaceship pilot will tell the players what caused this destruction. His ship is broken and can no longer fly. Then the pilot will tell you that by the end of next winter, an even larger meteorite will fall on the planet, which will destroy all biomes, including caves. Then he will say that he can save everyone, for this he will build engines that will lift the biome (which he fell on) into space, but this will take a lot of resources to build a dome, rocket engines and fuel for the engines. In the meantime, this construction will continue, he will also need food (otherwise the pilot will die of hunger and the game will end). He will also need protection since Charlie and the hounds (for some reason) survived and they want to kill the pilot too. Towards the end of the year, in winter, the scenario of the apocalypse is repeated, at the end of which a large meteorite falls and destroys everything. When players leave the caves, all biomes become lifeless with a rocky surface on which nothing can be grown. In this act, players will have to use the Life Synthesizer to create grass biomes and place them on surfaces where they can plant something. They can take all the plant seeds in the caves and transfer them to the surface. The Synthesizer of Life will copy the input material. For example, the player gives the pilot one bush of grass and one piece of gold, the Synthesizer of Life creates a copy of the bush of grass from these ingredients, then the pilot takes out the created bush of grass and transfers 2 bushes of grass to the player. Etc. All seasons of winter, spring, summer and autumn have not gone anywhere and should also accompany players in standard scenarios. There are no more seasonal bosses. In addition to creating a biome rocket, at some point Maxwell should appear, who will deliver an ultimatum that he also flies with the players and that players must collect "a pair of each creature", Maxwell must give the players a list. If players fail to complete this list, Maxwell will destroy all built rocket engines and the game will end. "Each creature is a pair" - these are marble statues of living beings. These statues can only be moved on special carts. For the statues of the bosses, you will need special large carts. The morale changes places, now the morale is restored in the caves, and on the surface it falls. To complicate the situation, you can enter a level of drop in morale, if the players manage to do everything by the deadline, then the morale drops minimally, if they do not have time, then the morale drops even more. 3. Post-apocalypse. Biome-rocket-ark will be in orbit of the planet for 7 days, during these seven days Maxwell will restore the planet. Players will see the biome, stars and a burning planet will be visible outside the biome. While Maxwell is restoring the planet, he will give tasks to players, players must quickly complete these tasks. The burning planet will change every day. On the biome-rocket-ark there will be no nights and days, the biome-rocket-ark will revolve around the planet and instead of night there will be a shadow from the planet and a bright side. Charlie will come to the shadow of the planet. There will be no hounds in Biome Ark-Rocket. By the beginning of the eighth day, Maxwell congratulates the players on the completion of the restoration of the planet and the map generation begins. Empty rocky biomes are generated, which players will already populate with living creatures. One of the biomes will be the biome of the landed ark rocket from which players will rebuild the planet. The season will be in the fall. Throughout the year, players will have to move all the statues of living creatures to specific locations (as indicated by Maxwell). The statues also move on carts. Each boss will wake up by the end of their season, so players will have to manage to move them to the right place, otherwise the bosses can wake up right at the player's campfire and destroy everything there. The end. When players completely populate a planet, Maxwell gives players a building for labor and heroism. Players can build and use this building at any time. The construction completes the game, you can add a rating. The dome, rocket engines and engine fuel must be resource-intensive and will take a long time to build. The game should be optimized for 2-3 players. Owlrust
I hope you don't take this as mean, because I don't intend it to be but: I'll never understand why people post such convoluted and detailed ideas/suggestions thinking that Klei will add each and every single detail down to the name; sure you can say that Klei could just take aspects of a suggestion, but that would usually apply to suggestions that contain a list of different smaller ideas, and generally ideas like these add onto themselves in ways that are hard to pull out from the post. I never want to discourage someone from sharing their ideas, but sometimes I feel like people can get their hopes up with unrealistic expectations, so I would (in my own opinion) recommend sharing smaller "nameless" concepts. Sorry for the long read. Pootis Bird
sorry, this does not fit with this game's theme at all. Well-met
Something simpler and more realistic to expect could be a Aporkalypse-like mechanic that steems from the moon island. Your idea is a bit too convoluted and expensive. I still have no idea what DLS stands for.
