Make the cookbook show the contents known by the person who crafted it.

I actually initially thought that this is what it did at first, but it just shows each player's client cookbook. I think it would be more useful (albeit more "situational") for it to be the cookbook of the player who crafted the item. As the usual Warly of my friend group, I filled my cookbook while everyone else usually sticks to meatballs and pierogis, occasionally honey ham if they are feeling particularly daring. However if they ever do want to branch out and show their inner Warly main, they usually have to either ask me or look it up. I think there should be a resource in game that people can rely on for answers. This way, ideally the most experienced cook can write the book and leave it in the kitchen. Then anyone who wants to try to make something new can browse the cookbook.

This also could help new players. The crockpot can be tough to get the hang of and a lot of new players tend to avoid the crockpot all together and just eat ingredients. While this game is almost rogue-like for new players in its trial and error gameplay, having a resource in game means that mastering the crock pot doesn't have to be trial and error.

This very well could be one of those "okay on paper but bad when put in practice" kind of ideas. New players might find a full cookbook overwhelming and still be swayed away from the crock pot, or maybe you want to track your own personal culinary progress and don't want to waste resources on another book. Either way, what do you think?

i like the idea of having the cookbook being a catalogue for completionists but i do understand the desire to share. i usually am the one who tells people the recipe for stuff in pubs so it would be neat to also be able to make a book for when i am away

oooooooon the other hand it is a special thing when somone who is entirely green(or at the very least is new to it) is there and you can tell them what to put in the pot then they can see what is made<3
