So a character Idea!

Recommended Posts

They are called Ward, with the subtitle the Priest, and you may have seen a Reddit post about a character with the same name, I have revised them. This character only works in DST, as one of their perks relies on other characters, and even though Wolfgang, Wilson, WX-78 and Webber's items do not need them, but (Especially Webber's) is hard to get. This character is a single male character, with the help of a deity.

Perks

+  Can use books, though in unexpected ways.

+  Is somewhat evil, losing half of their Sanity from all sources (Excluding Grim Galette)

+  Always wears thier cloak, but also gets a Backpack Slot.

-  Runs at 0.9x speed.

-  Is frail, dealing 0.x melee damage.

So, Ward is a simple, ragged-looking old man. They wear a colourful robe, painted each colour of the rainbow. He enters the Constant with his Staff, which is known as the Cursed Staff, and also his Rainbow Robes. and they begin with 100 Health, 200 Hunger and 250 Sanity. They also begin with 500 Faith, which I shall explain.

Faith is how pleased your god is with your character. The lower it gets, the lower your stat maximums become, until you are 'Cursed' at below 20. When you are cursed, you have 0 sanity, shadow creatures spawn twice as often, and the rest of your stats are halved. Below 300 Faith is when your stats begin to lower. When above 600, you gain stat benefits, until reaching 1000, where it caps off at 150 Health, 300 Hunger and 450 Sanity. You lose 50 Faith per day, and regain it by using the Sacrificial Dagger, or by sacrificing items.

Sacrificial Altar - 'Okay, this is just demonic.' Made from 3 Rocks and 12 Grass, the altar allows you to turn items into Faith. 'Picked' Resources (Grass, Twigs) give 1 Faith, 'Tool' Resources (Rocks, Logs, Moon Rocks, Moon Glass) give 2 Faith, Basic Food (Carrots, Seeds, Berries, not meats) grant 5 Faith, Cooked foods (Not meat) grant 6 Faith, and Meats grant increasing amounts. 1 Morsel (Raw) grants 3 Faith, cook it to gain 6, dry it to gain 12. Double these stats for normal meat. Monster meat grants the same as Morsels, and Drumsticks grant Triple, though they do not provide a dried version, making them still considerable to sacrifice. Crock Pot dishes provide Faith equal to their Health Restored + Sanity Restored + Hunger Restored, multiplied by 1.2, and rounded down each time. Rare resources (Nightmare Fuel, Thulecite) grant 12 Faith, and finally, Boss Drops are split into 2 groups. Single items (Deerclops Eye, Guardian Horn) Grants 50 Faith, and multiple items (Dragonfly Scales, Bearger's Fur, Moose Goose Feathers) grant 25 Faith each.

Sacrificial Dagger - 'Go into his room, and end his life!' Made from 1 Flint and 1 Twig, this weapon has 25 uses. When it hits and enemy, it deals 16 damage, but it also inflicts a debuff named Holy Pain, which acts like Fire damage, but it doesn't spread flames, and enemies can be lit on fire at the same time. This effect creates glowing particles, but they do not provide light. This lasts for 3 seconds. You gain 1/6 of the creatures maximum health as Faith if the creature is killed with the dagger, and gain 1/12 their maximum health as Faith if they are killed by the Holy Pain effects.

Cursed Staff - This starting item cannot be crafted. Instead, it provides 2 features. The first is Blasting, a spell you can cast using 2 Faith. It deals 3 damage with 0 faith, but every 100 faith adds 5 damage to it. This attack can be preformed at any range. It stopes getting stronger after 1000 Faith. It also inflicts the Holy Pain effect, for 7 seconds. The second feature is allowing you to sacrifice items on the altar.

Rainbow Robes - This starting item, like the Cursed Staff, is uncraftable, and has infinite durability. It provides 20% Wetness Protection, and 10% Damage Reduction.

Now, the character specific items, going from Wilson to Walter.

Wilson - The Fake Beard - 'Really?' Costing 12 Beard Hairs, and 1 Rope, the Fake Beard acts like having a fully grown beard, taking up the head slot. When you take fire damage, you take an additional 1.2 times damage. It lasts for 7 days.

Willow - Blazing Medallion - 'Sounds like PSI' Consuming 2 of Willow's Lighters, as well as a Life-Giving Amulet. While equipped, flaming wisps dance around you, providing light, and will cool you down during Summer, and warm you up during every other season. These behave like Campfires, or Endothermic Campfires. It lasts for 13 minutes.

Wolfgang - Empowered Shadow Blade - 'Truly lovely, but hopefully it is JUST vanity?' Consuming 4 Dark Swords and 4 Glass Cutters, the Shadow Blade has 225 Uses, and loses half as many while you attack shadows. It deals 76 Damage, and it deals an additional 1.25x damage to shadows.

Wendy - Abigail's Statue - 'A morbid, yet beautiful memory' Made of 2 Abigail's Flowers, and is placed on a Sisturn. When it is placed, the Sisturn becomes a large statue, and this statue grows up to 4 flowers. When Abigail is summoned, every flower rots, and becomes a ghost, helping you fight. They behave like Abigail at her weakest. A flower grows every day, and a live butterfly makes a flower grow instantly.

Wickerbottom - The Bookshelf - 'Free chests I think?' made from one of each of Wickerbottom's books, plus 2 Boards, you create a bookshelf, which you can click on to take a book out. The book taken out is selected from a 5 slot menu, and you can see what durability the books are at. You can read them 4 times, but not the 5th time, as they say it must go back to the library. The book can be put back, and likely should be. Every 5 days, 1 Papyrus must be sacrificed for the books to repair, as every 5 days, 1 use is given back.

WX - 78 - Mechanical Pod - 'If we called this an egg, they would destroy it' Made from 12 gears and 4 Electrical Doodads, this pod grows over the span of 4 days, and at the end, it becomes a clone of WX, which preforms the same tasks as WX. If there is no WX present, it follows whoever is closest. It acts completely unupgraded, and must be given tools. WX can possess it, making them come back to life as this clone, with all stats at full, but none of the gears they consumed are taken over.

Woodie - Refined Lucy - 'This shouldn't work. THIS SHOULDN'T WORK.' Made from Lucy, as well as 7 Moon Glass Axes, you gain a Refined Lucy, which can beused by anyone. When used by anyone, it acts like Lucy. When used by Woodie, the axe both hits the current tree, but a Moon Glass Axe floats, and hits a different tree, within a 3 pitchfork tile range.

Wigfrid - Battle Armour - 'Don't tell Wormwood we stole his idea!' Made from 4 Battle Helmets and Battle Spears, and takes up the body slot. Granting 80% Damage reduction, with 780 Durability. When attacked, you deal 50% of incoming damage to the attacker, then damage taken is reduced. You also gain 1% of the attackers damage as health every attack.

Webber - Spider Citadel - 'Bring them up from below!' Made from 3 Cut Stone and 5 Spider Eggs, the Spider Citadel acts like a tier 3 Spider den, but it also spawns 3 Cave Spiders, which patrol around the edge of the webbed area. When they get attacked, 3 Dangling Depths Dwellers drop from the sky. Each one can do this once, until they die. It has 2000 Health.

Warly - Luxury Crock Pot - 'Stewed beyond Perfection!'  Made from 2 Portable Crock Pots 1 of the other 2 Warly Exclusive Food Stations, the Luxury Crock Pot allows you to create seasonings, as well as apply them while cooking. You also cook 25% Faster than normal. This station takes up only the space of a single regular Crock Pot. Only Warly can use this.

Wormwood - Luxury Farm Plot - 'This thing is giant! And probably not practical!' Made from 8 Herbal Wraps and 8 Cut Stone, you create an area that is 2 x 2 Pitchfork tiles. While on these tiles, other players can plant seeds like Wormwood, but they grow normally. When Wormwood plants seeds on this, they grow, and then after growing (1 day) they spread, making 2 seeds of that plant type appear in the ground on it. They take 2 days to grow, and cannot make more plants.

Winona - Powerful Catapult - 'This seems to be too powerful... Eh, it doesn't matter!' Made from the resources to make a catapult, with an additional 3 Trusty Tape, and instead of stone, it uses Thulecite. Every 4 seconds, it fires a 64 damage boulder, which may summon shadow tendrils, the same from the Thulecite Club.

Wortox - Soul Baggie - 'Evil and black as crow, take foes souls that you never sow' Made from 15 Souls and 30 Grass, this is a body slot item that has 4 inventory slots. Each one can hold 3 souls in each. If you lose souls, these will be safe. Using souls uses these souls after ones in your inventory.

Wurt - Run-Down Mermgaurd tower - 'Horrible Living conditions. Lovely gardens though.' Made from 13 Boards and 25 Seaweed, this tower, when placed down, spawns 2 Merm guards. These towers also fire out arrows every second, dealing 7 damage each time they hit. It has 3000 Health.

Walter - Slingshot M.K. 2 -'Find your pine tree on the moon!' Made from 3 Slingshots, 9 Moon Rock and 9 Moon Glass, this slingshot deals 1.5x normal Slingshot damage, and all special effects of ammunition are doubled in power (Longer de-aggro, Easier Freezing, More Shadow Tentacles). No Durability.
