Gurgel Posted June 19, 2020 Share Posted June 19, 2020 It is sort-of the goal of the game to figure such questions out. That said, I find the desalinator consumes a lot of energy, use it only if you are comfortable with that. It is a viable option early on to keep the dupes breathing if you have salt water at temperatures around 30C, but beware that many crops only tolerate lower temperatures and the the water coming out the desalinator will be a bit warmer.
