I've just got a bunch of suggestions that came up with the latest update, so here's a big dump.

Favo(u)rite Foods
- Some sort of sanity buff? Maybe a flat +10, +15. Or a percentage increase. Definitely fits the context, while also giving a decent incentive to go out of your way for some of these dishes. Don't let Wes have it.
- A way to make fav foods stand out, without memorizing them based off of the compendium or trial and error. For example, if Wolfgang cooked up a potato, maybe the roasted variant would have a star next to it in his inventory or something (clientside, only visible to him). And maybe a bit more of a response for when you eat a fav food! Just a little quote for flavor, or something. Like eating bacon and eggs as Wilson would make him say something like "It's scientifically delicious!"
- An easier way for Warly to know any character's fav food. Maybe just a teeny icon of a character's head next to a dish that happens to be someone's favorite meal? Or maybe some alternate inspection lines for foods, saying something like "I think %s would like this." Possibly a similar thing when it comes to inspecting players, a small "You look like a Spicy Chili type of person."
- Perhaps a way to implement the fav food mechanic onto Warly? Maybe a mini-Gnaw sort of thing, where he has a rotating set of cravings. This could be totally ignored, as eating any regular dish (as in, a non-repeated crock pot dish) would still provide its average stats. The reward could be some sort of all around increase for that dish's stats (depending on the difficulty of creating it)? This is probably too complicated of a feature to add though, and would potentially over-complicate an already pretty complex character
- Pomegranate could be more substantial for Wortox
- Veggie stinger for Winona is pretty lame, but I don't think that's the dish's fault. The new crops should be able to generate naturally in any world, without farm plots.

Wilson's Beard & The Beards Menu
- Some way to see what the beard would look like with skins within the Curio Cabinet
- Maybe turn the beard menu into a menu specifically for reskins of specific character items? (e.g. Willow's Lighter, Wigfrid's Battle Helmet and Spear, etc)
- The ability to trim his beard using the razor. The only method of doing this I can think of is providing "trim" as an option alongside "shave"? A less intuitive idea I had was bringing up a menu sort of similar to the Portal Paraphernalia, or the Merm King thing. To make up this this, the sanity gain from shaving would need to be nerfed. Only +5  sanity per stage of beardiness removed. Beard hair drop would have to be BUFFED, to a consistent 3 beard hairs per stage of beardiness removed, instead of being dependent solely on what stage the beard is currently in. Here's a really bad mockup of it I made in MS Paint

That's all I've gotta say. What do you guys think? Are my suggestions horrible, or do they have merit

 Of course, I'm going to state that this isn't a list of demands for Klei, and I apologize if at any point it looks like such. I do deeply appreciate the work they do, and this update has made me more than satisfied. Love you Klei, keep doing what you do.

This is a very nicely composed post with thought out and imaginative ideas that are not too "out there" for concept designs, nice work as usual.

I agree with the idea of adding some flair to Warly's perception of favorite foods, however I feel personally that it should be manifested on a smaller scale, say....adding a small sanity bonus when the dish was made in his portable crockpot as a suggestion?

I agree with most (if not all) suggestions you listed above, and I wouldn't hate to see some things changed with the way the favorite recipes and bonuses are applied. I would like to make a suggestion of my own to add onto your ideas if that's alright? I would suggest that favorite foods scale down the benefits the more you eat them down to their normal numbers; this would (in my opinion of course) allow people to get a boost from the dishes they make while also not being able to amass them in bulk or rely on them as a sole source of food that outweighs other dishes.

Thanks for input, I don't think you should be hesitant to throw ideas in here. That's why this is a thread, not some sort of locked post.
Honestly, the Warly stuff is iffy for me still? I'd be fine with memorizing favorite foods at the end of the day if that's what it comes to.

I think it'd be for the best to slowly downscale the benefits of favorite foods, possibly on a timer similar to Warly. Although I've no issues with the current buff, the only one I can see being exceptionally good currently is bacon and eggs with Wilson, but I get the feeling that's intentional.
