Red Amulet doesn't revive in Wilderness Mode, could that possibly be added back in?

The Red Amulet, for anyone who doesn't know, used to revive the player when they were wearing it in singleplayer Don't Starve, however, the code for this seems to have been axed in favor of the haunting.

When wearing the Amulet in Wilderness you just die.

Could that possibly be added back in? Would very much like that.
