Splitscreen player can't use purchased content

Recommended Posts

So my wife and I both love playing the game but sometimes we would rather just boot it up in the livingroom and play splitscreen. The issue is that even though we both have gold, whoever logs in as the splitscreen player has zero, and I mean zero unlocked content even though it show they are logged in online. Is there some reason why this is happening? Any way to fix it?

Did this start after the last update, or have you had this problem before then?

I honestly don't know. We just got my new xbox one x one month ago so I couldn't tell you. Aren't the collections suooosed to sync to the players gamer profile if you have xbox live?

There's currently a bug loading player2's save data, which could be the problem here. There will be an update within the next few days that will fix that. Hopefully it will fix this problem too. Let us know if it does not and we'll investigate further.

I tried this locally and was able to use the item collections for both my characters in a split screen game, so it's quite likely got something to do with your setup or accounts.

You said that you're both able to use your collections in single player on your separate consoles.Just to clarify, does this mean you each play on your own xbox? Are you also able to each use your individual collection when alternating sign-ins and playing in single player mode on the same xbox?

Can you check that her account is using the same Klei ID on both consoles?
After she has signed in (single player), go to Options->More and look at the Klei ID shown at the bottom of the screen. It should be the same on both consoles if she's using the same gamertag in both places.

I found a fix, we had to delete her profile and redownload it to the xbox again. For some reason it was listing her as having a separate ID but this got it fixed. So something was wrong with the profile syncing on Microsoft's end.
