Flip Face
Hi! We need a carpet, which has a radius equal to the Lightning Rods, and can only be removed or deconstructed by the person who created it. Nothing can be planted on it; Nothing grows on the carpet; Any structure can be built on it, except campfires. Within the radius of that carpet, the survivors will refuse to destroy or burn structures. Or items when they are on the carpet. Saying: "I can't do that" In summer the carpet can begin to approach its combustion point, like all structures close to the player. It's like at hamlet. I thought of several things, but the carpet as the welcome print was the only thing I could think of that would not destroy the way each person builds their base. It is just an example. Now, imagine having to put a structure that takes up space at its base that is already planned in your mind. The carpet can have several skins starting with a red checkered towel skin, which would obviously match any kitchen. : D Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/115701-love-care-respect-and-community/ Share on other sites
Mike23Ua
I once asked the Developers how come in a Cooperative setting with PvP turned off can players still set my base up like a Blazing Inferno. The Reply I got back was something along the lines that If structures could be placed but can’t be destroyed or moved players would use that to “Grief” other players by blocking off bridges of land. I think the better option would’ve been giving us a structure the size of a Mermhut or Pig house that we could enter inside of and place our items there. When another player is in your house they can’t move or interact with anything.. however to prevent the whole grief thing each player can only place one “Home” in the world at any given time. And I thought about what if someone enters a house and Then gets blocked in by unbreakable structures. EASY! give them a button prompt to enter or leave the house anytime they like. The thing is.. this would be Incredibly hard to implement so I’m highly doubtful that a crazy farfetched idea like this would ever be a thing. Owlrust
Why invite random people to join a server though? Wouldn't it be better to just invite friends you know won't grief? In there you can chat with regulars about the game, make friends, start/join groups, or take part in community goals with dedicated servers; that way you are far more likely to find serious players in bulk, and can coordinate much easier as well on top of meeting potential friends.
