I am on Catalina and already tried reinstalling the game, to no avail. Can you help please? Have you perhaps already seen this Klei Support Article: Mac Catalina OS - Getting an "Unable to read from config directory" error message ? I do not own/use Mac so I can't offer more advice than what's already suggested in that article. Hopefully it helps.
