RaisonVarner
Hi! I am unreasonably addicted to this game. One of the things I've found has become a bit of a scourge in long living colonies is abyssalite tiles that slowly degrade over hundreds of turns. The only cue I'm aware of right now is that the texture changes to display cracks, but I don't see VFX like a leaking tile might display. Abyssalite is also a dark texture so the cracks are hard to see. It would be great to get alerts for pressure damage or add audio with a decent attenuation and vfx to better understand when a tile is changing state to be under stress. The pernicious part is that this usually happens to large bodies of water and can empty entire reservoirs without notice. Constructed tiles don't seem to display stress while the abyssalite is failing which is the non-intuitive part. Abyssalite has been taught to be a hard element in-game, but it seems to fail in ways a sandstone basic or insulated tile doesn't. Thanks! You guys have made another gem with ONI. Sasza22
I never noticed abyssalite getting damaged over time. It only ever breaks when there is a lot of pressure, like pressurized oil or deep pools of water. When it happens it tends to make a dripping sound (at least when it`s the bottom breaking). Tiles build by dupes also show cracks, they have a damage bar as well to indicate when they will break. But some kind of alert when it happens would be welcome.
